The Manhattan Beach Police Department have announced another DUI and Driver License checkpoint. This one is set for Friday, July 13. It will run from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m.
The purpose of this checkpoint is to encourage sober, designated drivers. The department is hoping to that doing these checkpoints will reduce drinking and driving as well as unlicensed drivers.
The operation will be done with the California Office of Public Safety. The funding will come from the Manhattan Beach PD.
The department has zero tolerance for either drinking and driving or driving without a license. The most recent checkpoint ended up nabbing a celebrity.
